Aims & Objectives

West London Schools FA Football Association – Est 1891 has been established for the benefit of the children and young people by advancing their education and by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for the recreation and other leisure time occupation of such children and young people to assist them to grow to full maturity as individuals and as members of society, and so that their conditions of life may be improved.

The project activities will be Schools Association football and  coaching, Physical fitness, education and training in addition to Life Skills Workshops, healthy lifestyle and diet, raising self-esteem , Counselling and making the right choices in life. Through the medium of sport we will help young people develop their life skills including interview techniques, and CV development.

MISSION: To consistently seek to acquire and put into practice the necessary skills and knowledge to be the best where ever we are at any particular moment in our lives.

AIMS:
– to provide information, advice and guidance on achieving and being an achiever at home and in sport; – to enable beneficiaries to achieve economic well-being and make a positive contribution to their communities, removing barriers to learning, making the most effective use of all our resources, promoting learning for life, changing and enriching lives through learning.

OBJECTIVES:

Enhance Participation: Increase the number of schools and young people participating in the football associations activities by 20% annually. Ensure a minimum of 30% participation from young people with special educational needs in all sporting activities.

Develop Skills: Provide at least 100 hours of football coaching and life skills training per year to participants. Organise bi-annual workshops on interview techniques, CV development, and career guidance for young people.

Promote Healthy Lifestyles: Implement a healthy lifestyle and diet program, with the goal of improving participants’ physical fitness and nutritional awareness. Conduct regular fitness assessments to track and report on the physical development of young people involved in the program.

Support Personal Growth: Offer one-on-one counselling sessions to at least 50% of participants to support their emotional well-being and life choices. Deliver life skills workshops quarterly, focusing on self-esteem, resilience, and decision-making.

Community Engagement: Establish partnerships with local businesses, schools, and community organisations to create a network of support for young people. Encourage participants to engage in community service projects, with the aim of contributing at least 500 hours of volunteer work annually.

Promote Equality and Inclusion: Ensure that all activities are inclusive and accessible, with specific programs designed to challenge discrimination and promote equality. Provide diversity training for coaches, staff, and volunteers to better understand and support the varied backgrounds of participants.

Track and Evaluate Impact: Implement a robust monitoring and evaluation system to assess the impact of all activities on participants’ educational attainment, physical health, and social development.

Publish an annual impact report highlighting key achievements, lessons learned, and areas for improvement.

OUTCOMES : An increase in the number of young people accessing sporting activities;
– the engagement of young people in sport with special educational needs.
